Anthology 2015

 

 

Calling all Writers: Stories and Poems about Dudley. 

After celebrating five successful years which have produced three publications, Dudley Carers Writing Group is now working on another anthology of poetry and prose. This time the focus is on Dudley itself, past and present, factual and imaginary. 

We hope that other carers will join us in this venture and are calling for submissions of poems and stories on any subject related to Dudley. One of our members has written about her encounter with the first elephants at the zoo, for example, and her memories of the pill-maker in the market. Another has written a poem about the Dudley Bug and several of us have written poems about Inca, the Black Bear we are sponsoring at the zoo. 

We aim to publish early in 2015 and would like all entries submitted by 31 August 2014. We will be making our final selection of material in our regular monthly meetings in September and October.
